Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 August 2026
All in Hand (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an ultra-secure digital household handbook for UK households. This policy explains what information we handle and how we protect it. All in Hand is currently in private beta and this website is informational; the sections below describe how the service is being built to work.
Who we are
All in Hand is operated from the United Kingdom. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@allinhand.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Information we handle
- Account details — such as your name and email address, used to create and secure your account.
- Handbook content — the information you choose to store about your household. This is encrypted and access-controlled.
- Secrets Vault content — passwords, PINs and other highly sensitive items you place in the Vault are end-to-end encrypted on your device. We cannot read Vault contents.
- Technical data — limited logs and security telemetry needed to run the service reliably and safely. We do not put your personal handbook or Vault content in logs.
How we use it
We use your information only to provide, secure and support the service: to authenticate you, store and organise your handbook, send you the reminders and notifications you set up, and keep the service safe and reliable. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your handbook or Vault content for advertising.
Encryption & security
Security is built into the product from the ground up. The Secrets Vault uses zero-knowledge, end-to-end encryption — the keys are derived on your device and we never hold them, so we cannot access what you store there. The wider handbook is encrypted, access-controlled, and shared only with the people you explicitly choose. We use standards-based, audited cryptography (libsodium).
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on infrastructure located in the United Kingdom (Amazon Web Services, London region). We use reputable sub-processors (such as our cloud hosting provider) strictly to operate the service, under appropriate data-protection terms.
Sharing
Household information is shared only with the household members and trustees you choose, at the access level you set, and you can revoke access at any time. We disclose personal data to third parties only where necessary to run the service (e.g. our infrastructure provider) or where required by law.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email privacy@allinhand.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
All in Hand is intended for adults managing a household. Households may record information about children (for example school or health details); that information is handled with the same encryption and access controls, and only by the adults you authorise.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and delete it when you close your account or ask us to, subject to any legal retention obligations. Because much of your data is encrypted with keys tied to your household, deletion is designed to render it permanently unrecoverable.
Cookies on this website
This informational website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product develops. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
